A Frederick Engagement | Janet & Wei

She was in town one weekend to visit her best friend, now MOH, and they decided to go out one night with a group of friends. MOH introduced her friends to Janet but Janet sparked an interest from one in particular, Wei, and by end of the night, both hit it off well instantly. They did a six-month long distance relationship before Janet moved down to Maryland and the two have become inseparable since.

Janet wanted to incorporate a balloon into the shoot and wanted some height, so we started off the engagement shoot at Gambrill State Park where there was a beautiful overlook with a nice background view of Frederick.

Gotta have the flying shot with the balloon but I must admit, this was one of my fave shots! Wei nailed it for sure.

Once we were done with the park, we headed to downtown Frederick to finish the rest of the shoot. The last time I was there was for Kendra and Kevin’s gorgeous wedding and I made a mental note to come back here to shoot again. So glad that I did. I also will need to make a mental note to bring hubby here because it is such a cute town full of little shops to explore.

Janet, you are gorgeous!
Wei, you’re not so bad yourself. =D

An engagement is not complete without some Georgetown cupcakes. In fact, this was definitely a special one at that since Wei proposed to Janet with a box of Georgetown cupcakes and the ring strategically placed on one of them.

That’s it! I seriously had a lot of fun shooting this e-session with Janet and Wei. Hope you enjoyed the photos! I’ve updated my travel schedule below as well so if I’m in your area and you like to schedule a shoot, feel free to contact me.
