To think my brother engaged and getting ready to tie the knot next year is just unreal. Even more so is that the happy couple has asked me to shoot their wedding as well and I couldn’t be happier.
For their engagement session, they wanted to head to NYC–the city where they had their first date. We went and explored Dumbo area all the while including some of Brooklyn’s popular backdrops like the Brooklyn bridge and of course incorporating Grimaldi’s pizza. The wait was a bit ridiculous but well worth it. Who couldn’t resist NYC pizza, am I right? It was also fun to shoot with the colorful plexiglass house that Tom Fruin had installed for the Dumbo Arts Festival. We ended the shoot with some night shots in Time Square and although night shoots are not my main strength, I think we were able to capture the elements of NYC. All in all, a very fun day with the couple.
