This wedding marked another sibling married and so much emotions were witnessed throughout the day. You can see David and Brittany’s engagement session shot last year and here we are on their big day. The last sibling wedding I shot was my sister’s and even then it proved to be a hard task going through the photos without tears welling up. This time I was more prepared with tissues on hand before starting the culling process. Warning, photos aplenty ahead.
The day started early at the hotel taking some getting ready shots of David before heading over to where Brittany’s getting ready. Family members gather round to witness a traditional Vietnamese ceremony before Brittany went up to change into her white dress. David went ahead to the first look location and we followed shortly after.
I lived in my hometown for years and never realized that we have a lavender farm close-by. Peace Valley Lavender Farm is one of Brittany’s go-to shoot locations and what a perfect spot for the first look. The lavender bloomed just in time for the day. We were hoping for some overcast clouds, but dealt with the bright sun as much as we could.
The ceremony took place at Abington Arts Center. The center is a host of many concerts, weddings and you can find fun art installation scattered throughout the grounds. Ceremonies and speeches typically gets me welled up with happy tears but when it’s one of our sibling’s wedding, that increases by ten fold. It was a beautiful ceremony–short and sweet before family photos and more bridal party shots after followed by a reception at one of my family’s favorite restaurant.
What a beautiful wedding. Brittany and David had thought up of every detail to add to their big day and the day could not have gone better. Congratulations you two!
